USCIS Part 1

May 20, 2008

I finally finished filling out my N-400 Application for Naturalization. All the required documents that I needed are all set and ready to go.

Earlier in the afternoon, I went to the USPS in Broomfield, CO to mail my documents.

I just have to wait 'till they mail me a notice that they did received my application. I was confident with my application that I filled out myself that I answered all of them base on what I all know.

I kept my fingers crossed that USCIS is going to send me NOA (Notice of Action) for my biometrics soon after they received my application.

I received an important call from my very good friend in Colorado 'Avette'. She informed me that I have a letter from USCIS that just arrived today.

I was so excited and asked her to open the letter.

I received NOA (Notice of Action) from the USCIS and a schedule for my Biometric appointment on June 12, 2008 at 1:00PM MST.

I flew from San Diego, CA to Denver, CO early in the morning through United Airlines. My flight was at 7:35AM but decided to go to the airport to catch an earlier flight. I was hoping that they have available seat for me for the 6:20AM flight. I checked in early and I was on stand by list. Thankfully they had an available seat.

To get my boarding pass the United Airline kiosk check-in agent asked my for my identification so, I checked my purse to get my driver's license. I was so frustrated that I couldn't find my driver's license.

I thought that this is not a very good sign. Of all the time to lost my driver's license why it's today that I really need it the most. I showed the check-in agent my green card instead.

I called Michael to comeback in order for me to check my car hoping that my driver's license fell there somewhere. I was disappointed and frustrated because I couldn't find it nowhere in my car. There's nothing much I can do because it's not there.

I decided to go to the airport security because I need to get to my gate before I miss my flight.

Before the plane took off, I called Michael to stop by at the Costa Verde Apartment where we stayed cause I thought that my driver's license might fell there somewhere. Thankfully the doorman got my driver's license.
