On Our Way to Lone Pine, CA

While driving on the way to Lone Pine, CA there was nothing much to see. The heat was extreme the temperature reached over 100F.

Of course we passed by in a very small town where the population is less than 50. After than town all I saw was valley, cactus, dead grass and a few small twisters.

You really want to your gas tank full because you don't want to be stuck in the middle of the dessert.
About 50 miles before we get to our final destination we saw one store on the road. They did a pretty good job with their billboard advertisement because they are making sure that people who are driving long distance in the dessert for miles and miles will see them.

They have decent number of customer and they are buying their products too. When you use their restroom and you don't by anything they have a sign there that said "Now, You owe us $1 if you buy nothing".

It is true that they sell fresh jerky and they also have tasting too. They also have different flavors for you to choose. I like beef jerky but when I tried their fresh jerky, I didn't like it that much because after I ate them it seems like there was after smell on it. Maybe because it's fresh? i don't know, but I decided not to buy them.

They are also selling different nuts and of course offer tasting. So I tried them and bought 1 pack of sugar coated nuts and a pack of classic flavor pistachio, they do have different pistachio flavors but I prefer the classic.

This is the store in the middle of nowhere good thing is at least there's one. :)
